I have several new positions that might be of interest for some in your 'networks':
First two new PhD positions on plant-related macroecology :
1: THE MACROECOLOGY OF FUNCTIONAL DIVERSITY IN THE PALMS AND ITS LINK
TO MAMMAL DIVERSITY:
Otevírají se 2 pozice typu odborný asistent pro výuku na katedře botaniky PřF JU v Č. Budějovicích:
PhD position opens in plant ecology at the University of Konstanz, in a project on "Testing the relative roles of competition and plant-soil feedbacks in explaining commonness and rarity of native and alien plant species." supervised by Wayne Dawson and Mark van Kleunen.
More in the attached PDF.
There is currently a PhD position in plant population genetics available at the UFZ Halle, Department of Community Ecology. The project is about molecular and quantitative genetic variation in a wetland plant, and the relevance of this variation for ecological restoration. More in the attached PDF.
I would like to draw you attention to a 2.5 year postdoctoral position that is available to work
within the project “Quantifying the Drivers of Palaeoecological Change: PalaeoDrivers”, funded by
the Research Council of Norway. The postdoctoral fellow will be affiliated to the Ecological and
Environmental Change Research Group at the Department of Biology, University of Bergen, working with Richard Telford and John Birks.
If you are, or know someone who is, a skilled R user, enjoys working with data and also understands
attached is a job advertisement from the University of Bielefeld in which they are seeking for a plant molecular ecologist/ecological geneticist who is willing to apply for a DFG Heisenberg professorship to come to Bielefeld. If successful the university will provide a long-term (tenure) perspective.
If you know colleagues who might be interested in this possibility, please forward this advertisment to them.
Best regards, Oliver
